Hermex is a native iPhone client for your self-hosted Hermes Agent server. It is designed for people who already run a reachable Hermes Web UI server and want a focused mobile way to keep up with agent work from iPhone.
Connect to your own server, open existing sessions, start new conversations, and follow streamed responses as they arrive. The app supports Hermes sessions, model/profile/reasoning controls, file and photo attachments, workspace file browsing, tasks, skills, memory, usage details, and a share extension for staging content from other iOS apps.
Agent execution happens on the configured Hermes server, not on the iPhone. Prompts, attachments, shared content, workspace requests, and session actions are sent only to the server URL you enter. Recent sessions and messages may be cached locally for offline read-only viewing, and the cache can be cleared from Settings.
Hermex does not provide a hosted Hermes backend, in-app account creation, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. You need your own reachable Hermes Web UI server to use the app.

Community Voice & Feedback
Really enjoy this app! Really well designed and polished, haven’t come across any major bugs and it’s just over all a great experience. Plus the developer recently open sourced it which is amazing! Much love to the dev for creating Hermex and open sourcing it!!
My go-to iOS app for Hermes. It’s well maintained, the developer is active and engaged, and the app keeps getting better. Great work!
How come home assistant app is able to connect to my HA instance without https but this app requires it? My Hermes agent is not exposed to the internet and I just vpn into my network. I don’t want to buy/rent a domain or use tailscale.
While everyone is aggressively shoveling out their vibe-coded attempts, this app has already perfected the mobile experience for Hermes Agent.
Just got it loaded and it’s great. iMessage is good enough to use but not full featured just easy day to day. This will be awesome to have
This requires a separate repo from Hermex to be installed alongside Hermes, so it's pretty dishonest to go throwing the word "native" around. Let me know when it can connect to the Hermes API endpoint and I'll revisit, until then literally any of the other mechanisms to connect from iOS "natively" are fine, such as Telegram, Discord, or Slack.
By far one of the best interfaces i’ve seen for hermes, with seamless mobile integration. The app really lays out a lot of hermes features / functionalities well, and is much better than the standard CLI for that reason. Coming from using a mobile terminal like Terminus, this is a game changer. Easy to set up with netbird instead of tailscale as well.
This App was my go to until recently. Now it’s very slow, fails on large context loads, and has delays syncing. I’m disappointed. Back to Telegram I suppose…
had some trouble with the ios blocking http request but set up a cloudflare tunnel with hermes and it’s working great. Keep up the good work 👍
I’d really love to see the full Hermes native live conversation voice mode pulled into this app where I could use my full duplex voice stack from the Hermes desktop app here on my phone.
Genuinely this app is perfectly built for Hermes. But one issue is that the app gets very laggy once the conversation starts getting long, could be fixed with an optimization update.
Maybe this is a hermes agent gripe, but when i attemt to continue a session started from the tui, it gives me an error saying the session doesnt exist. This should be a seamless experience imo. Start something on the deskto, track it and continue it in the app.
One of the best apps I’ve ever used
Its great to be here.
