Product Positioning & Context

The original AdBlock - the first and last ad-blocker you'll ever need. A one time purchase - no subscriptions needed. We've been blocking ads on iPhones and iPads since 2012 - we know our game! :)
AdBlock allows you to block ads on your iOS device. Get rid of 99% of annoying popups, banners and video ads. Protect your privacy, limit bandwidth use, speed up your device, save battery and drastically improve your day-to-day iOS experience.

The most important advantages of AdBlock are:
• AdBlock comes with a local DNS proxy service built-in. Use it to see which domains you're device is contacting. Create your own rules and assign any IP to any domain, right on your device. You can (and should!) bootstrap this feature with rules found online.
• AdBlock has enhanced DNS proxy rules export and import function. Share DNS proxy rules with other users, easily import rules found on the Internet.
• AdBlock comes with a Safari Content Blocker to block ads on websites in Safari.
• AdBlock allows you to create your own list of domains and synchronize your rules between all your devices using iCloud.
• AdBlock allows you to protect your privacy by blocking mobile trackers. Prevent Internet trackers from recording your online activity and selling your private data.
• AdBlock does not send your Internet traffic through any remote server. All of your connections stay direct, fast and secure. Ads are blocked right on your device!
• Setting up AdBlock is simple! Just download the app, and follow the tutorial to set everything up. When in doubt - contact our support!
• AdBlock automatically updates to the latest version of the filters on every app run. We keep the ad servers database up-to-date for you.
• AdBlock works with Wi-Fi and cellular networks. You don't need to set it up separately for every network you use.
• AdBlock comes with a handy widget to quickly change the DNS proxy status when needed.

I’ve changed nothing within the app. And my level of Adds has increased, IP address still showing. Have not been happy with it since updating IOS
Please Fix App

This used to work very well, but for the past few months it has allowed far too many ads. Going to switch to a different ad blocking app.

I’ve used this app for years . I’m not technically inclined but the step by step video was extremely helpful !

I bought the unlimited one and don’t work for safari

Doesn’t block anything. Used to work but over time the effectiveness diminished. Now it hardly blocks any ads.

This works really well, but apps like to be money hungry and find other channels that aren’t blocked by the proxy rules. If the app were to expand the amount of proxy rules applied, this app would be 100% one I recommend.

App doesn’t even disable ads for a simple safari browser. Followed all the steps and have been giving this app a try for literally over two years - TWO - and its just useless.
I turn it on. Refresh the browser. Go back into safari. Still ads. Delete this bs then.

Got charged $1.99 from this app, never signed up for anything. Downloaded and tried clicking contact support and it doesn’t even work.
No subscriptions under my Apple ID so unsure where this came from.

I constantly tell people about this app exclusively. IT WILL BLOCK EVERY AD ON YOUR ENTIRE DEVICE. *When configured/trained* it will work nearly without fail. I love this app more than anything else I have purchased without a doubt. I'll buy it for you if you ask nice; that's how much I want to share this incredible app.

Now, to configure/train, you have to a) import DNS rules from Safari, which the app walls you through how to do. BUT b) as ads come through on your phone from different apps and such, you need to tell it to block that ad. Go to Settings > DNS Proxy log > and find the url that usually has the word "ad" somewhere in it. Click on it > add rule, and pick one of the first 2 choices. You can break things if you aren't. careful, which I have done on occasion. You'll have to hunt down and disable the rule to get it working. The only application that doesn't work is YouTube App. It works on Safari, but the app delivers content in a way that does not allow you to identify the ad from the video.

Great app! Only suggestion when you accidentally block actual content, if you could revert the latest rules that'd be great.

Works, but with no support

Every mobile game when you use this, suddenly never comes. It’s honestly the best app and a must have for all people for a cheap price.
