The app presents itself as part of a Mac-to-iPhone file sharing solution but is client-only. To actually use it with your Mac you need to separately buy “FileBrowser Pro for Mac”, a completely different $14.99 app. This is not made clear anywhere in the listing. To make it worse, there’s also a “FileBrowser Professional” bundle for iPhone, making three similarly named products that are easy to confuse. Save yourself the frustration and just use macOS’s free built-in SMB file sharing with the Files app.
Excellent app! Suggest to add crossfade option to the music player so that it eliminates blank audio. All in one file browser app!
Needs pinch to zoom on video
• Does NOT allow browsing all “On My iPad” folders anymore
• Cannot function like Finder on current iPadOS
• SD card support alone does not justify “Professional” name
• Documentation does not clearly warn users of Apple storage restrictions

I use it to download mp3 I want robe axle to add a picture that will be show as album art when it plays. CarPlay would also be amazing.
Thank you for adding a 360 viewer. I have had your app for years and have it everywhere I can use it - I love it!!!!! During this time I have witnessed the app’s expansion, the capabilities continue to multiply. Thank you for such a great app and your professionalism.
There is an issue with the hide keyboard button after clicking edit and switching between apps.
Can we please add the ability to ‘create document’ - html, php, css, js, etc? I use this app a lot and would love those extensions.
I would love to give this app 5 stars but this holds me back from that.
Hide keyboard bug & extensions please!!!

Recently, I was having issues with the reliability of the connection and the transfers to my Mac. I now believe the issue was the SMB default that FileBrowser uses; there seems to have been a permissions issue. Creating an SFTP connection, instead of choosing the Mac as such, seems to have fixed things. I'm glad the app offers options. The default Apple Files.app fails in this regard.
Regarding the issue with bookmarks, I initially didn't see them until I was already connected. Turns out they move around (inexplicably) depending on where one is in the app. So that functionality is there, but I have to look for it in landscape mode. I was also initially irritated by the change in shape of the tabs. However I had been tapping to select wasn't working anymore on my old iPad. Once my fingers adjusted their muscle memory, things worked out.

This app used to be very good. Now it is so annoying. Every changes on the file, change names, copying, moving, etc. used to be instant before. Now when I change a name, it spins and spins with “Examining file…”. When I copy or move a file, it spins and spins with “Estimating time…” Worst file/folder management app”
For those of us who use the iOS Files app on the daily, this app “moves mountains”. Gives you everything you need from thumbnails, fast backup for multiple items, to using needed various SMB protocols(including SMB3) for faster transfers, and previous versions for hardware compatibility. Plus all the cloud integrations. Oh, and they are constantly updating the app for function, not bloat.
Cool app, though sync to IPhone folder isn’t possible, and many other apps can’t use Mounted Location in the Folder app.
This is an awesome app. I use it all the time to get to all the places I need to go.
I don’t know how only recently found this app. The native file app is so woefully lacking. With FileBrowser Pro I’m ready to give up my MacBook and just use my iPad.
I’ve been using this app for two or three years and just realized today how powerful and important and useful Filebrowser Pro is to me. And honestly, I bet I don’t even know how to use half the features… lol. Anyway, I just want to publicly thank the developers and offer my highest recommendation to anyone considering purchasing it.
