I don’t like it at all. It isn’t very good. My husband was added onto my son’s locator. I think. It’s so freaking confusing.

As a parent this does not work. I tried calling the 1-866 number today and it just rang. As I downloaded the companion one on my daughter‘s phone, the Sm dumber came up and stated that this was an error message. This cannot be. I had to call the one 800 number I re-downloaded the companion again three different times. Same error message came up. The rating of the companion was a 1.2. I don’t know how the Family Verizon app this app is a 4.2 rating that the Family app is perfect. It is not perfect so I don’t know how this is working so someone needs to tell me how this is working.

I wish that you guys were more like Life360 where you can see exactly where the person is at all times how fast they are going and have the alerts when they are in a wreck or something like that but otherwise I do love the feature that you have

So I got it and it was working just fine at first, but then the age rating went up to an 18+ for whatever reason and it was really annoying because I couldn’t use it on my daughter anymore and I didn’t want to raise her age restrictions if you could just fix that, I’d give you five stars

Doesn’t wrk! No notification on saved place, doesn’t update locations.

After 2 hours of logging in, downloading apps, troubleshooting issues, and being unable to resolve VPN App management issues, I threw in the towel. There has to be a better commercial app

This is also part of for the course. I wish there was a better competitor for Verizon where I’m located. I would take my cell and internet service elsewhere. I struggle to process simple actions with them.

I like this app but everything you have to pay for you get for free with life 360 or Apple/Google parental controls. You are only allowed to add one saved location with the regular Verizon Family on the free version of life 360 you can add multiple. Might have to switch back to life 360 free version.
I HATE how every company is nickle and diming everyone for everything! Robbery

I downloaded the app on my phone and began the process of trying to install the app on my child’s phone. I got an error message stating the developer has a restriction on the app needing 18 and older permissions. How am I supposed to download the app and monitor my child’s device if the app requires him to be 18 in order to download. I have certain parental restrictions on his device. Is there a work around?

I had this as a kid, and it’s still on my phone. When we call Verizon, they know nothing and don’t help. The app lags horrifically when we try to fix it. Never get this app. I sincerely tell no one to get this. We are having issue after issue. I have seizures, which I need my phone and my Apple Watch always available. This app is causing issues. I could literally lose my life to this app. So I suggest you fix this horrible app. One chance. Hurry.

This setup should be “focus group tested” before release to the customer. My bet is the direction/help will be trashed by everyone with no previous knowledge of the app.
1. The on screen instructions are incomplete (they don’t state what to do, only a part of requirements). Remember (which help & technical writers have a real problem with): DEFINE EACH STEP & WHAT IS EXPECTED: The KISS METHOD-Keep It Simple Stupid (but provide it: duh!)
2. The setup just assumes the user is aware of undefined actions (and expected results). OMG!
3. During setup at each undefined step the app freezes, and then screws up. It’s awful. It isn’t my phone nor internet speed at 1 gig. It’s the app!

In summary, just have non associated people review and point out the setup issues/potential confusion. You will be embarrassed, but it will be educational and help in the future.
You are welcome!

Installed it, I got notifications that just point me to the app and nothing specific. Family can't add. Don't know what they were trying to do with this app, I see no benefit whatsoever

Verizon won’t give you parental controls over your minor children unless you pay a monthly fee. You people are EVIL!!
7Dimond • Feb 14, 2026
This app was very difficult to set up on my child’s phone. And sometimes I think my notifications of 1 child’s phone pops up on a different child’s phone. But it seems to be doing a great job of filtering and I am so happy about that!

A few days after I installed this app on our phones, I got a notification at 8:01 AM that my child had accessed porn while at school. Needless to say my child was in trouble and received consequences. Imagine my surprise when two days later he accessed porn again at exactly 8:01 AM. He is usually a compliant child. And what are the chances that he did it at exactly the same time time again? The following Saturday, when he was asleep in his bedroom and his phone was on the charger next to me in my bedroom, I got an alert that he was on porn…. And guess what time it was??? 8:01! I can’t believe I am paying for this.
