AI Executive Synthesis
Expanding driver support to older-generation mobile GTX GPUs.
The inquiry regarding GTX 1050 Laptop compatibility highlights a demand for support for older, more common mobile GPUs. While the project focuses on RTX cards, the question indicates a broader user base seeking NVIDIA GPU acceleration on macOS, including those with legacy hardware. For B2B SaaS, supporting a wider range of hardware, even older generations, can broaden market reach, but it also introduces complexity and resource allocation challenges. A clear scope definition or a roadmap for legacy GPU support is necessary to manage user expectations and development priorities effectively.

### Update 09/10: Regression in 1.1.0
The fix is now the default in this release version, so you don't have to do anything. The only problem is that it may not get past the Apple loading screen due to WindowServer crashing (a short black screen -> back to looping the verbose console). I suggest rolling back to 1.0.9 if that's the case.

Which type of Mac are you using it on? And what card?

Would love to know if you can boot with this as the only display adapter under Tahoe. I have a 2080ti in my Mac Pro 2019 and it would be great to be able to free up a slot by removing the MPX card.
> 3\. Is the GTX 1650 currently supported or planned to be supported by this driver?
Turing microarchitecture (which the GTX 16xx and RTX 20xx series cards use) is supported, so you should be able to use it.

Adding `nvrmsettle=10000` to the `boot-args` is no longer required as well as `CECHAN=0` in `/Library/GPUBundles/nvmtl/nvrm610.conf`. However, those two `NVK_CMDPOOL_GPU_UNCACHED=1` and `NVK_SYSMEM_GPU_UNCACHED=1` are still needed to get past the Apple loading screen.

Managed to get it working (sort of)
Specs: **RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB**, i5-11400F, macOS **15\.8.1 (24H32)**. The desktop now loads, and System Information reports Metal 3. There are still graphical bugs, so this resolves startup rather than establishing full stability.
Workaround:
1. Append `nvrmsettle=10000` to the existing OpenCore `boot-args`.
2. Edit `/Library/GPUBundles/nvmtl/nvrm610.conf` by `sudo nano /Library/GPUBundles/nvmtl/nvrm610.conf`, preserving other settings, and add:
```
CECHAN=0
NVK_CMDPOOL_GPU_UNCACHED=1
NVK_SYSMEM_GPU_UNCACHED=1
```
3. Reboot.
