Product Positioning & Context

Snitch asks everyone in your Slack one question, who do you report to, and builds the org chart from the answers. Then it answers questions about it: reporting chains, team sizes, who owns what. No HR system, nothing for you to fill in.

clever way to flip who does the data entry. curious what happens with dotted-line reporting though, plenty of people at bigger companies report to one person for headcount and a different one for actual day-to-day work. does snitch let someone give two answers, or does it force a single "who do you report to" and just take whichever one they type first

I'm wondering how much setup is needed before it starts giving useful answers. If it's really just one question in Slack, that's pretty nice.

Awesome idea! Will definitely try it out :)

the who do you report to question works on day one. month six is what i'd worry abt, does snitch re-ask when someone moves teams or does the chart drift

This tool was exactly what I needed for the organization chart! Simple, easy and fun to use. Good job!

This is such a practical idea. The org chart gets outdated so easily, so having an AI agent actually own it makes a lot of sense. Congrats on the launch! ๐Ÿš€

Pretty clever way to do it! I like it. Assigning Snitch to investigate and prompt the users instead of the other way. Congrats on the launch!

Hey Product Hunt ๐Ÿ‘‹Ok, so I built a Slack AI agent that does one very specific thing: owns the Org Chart. That means it can create it, update it, flag things on it, and answer about it to anyone who asks. If you work in a large enough company that you don't know any new hire right away, you know the problem. And if, by some wild coincidence, you are an HR person (welcome to Product Hunt, btw!) dealing with "how do I get all these people to stop asking me about the org chart???," right now... well, you're welcome! ๐Ÿ˜‡In all seriousness, I hope you find it useful. Any feedback, especially on use cases I haven't covered, is highly appreciated. ๐Ÿ™Thanks!
