Product Positioning & Context
Kit is a coding agent runtime. It gives the model one tool for writing and running programs. Kit provides a terminal client, an Agent Client Protocol (ACP) server, an A2A endpoint, and a subagent orchestrator in one static binary. ACP separates agent clients from agent runtimes, so Kit works in compatible editors and can orchestrate other harnesses without custom integrations.

Community Voice & Feedback
static binary is the part that gets me, every speakeasy thing just runs with zero setup. gonna actually swap this in as my daily driver instead of just poking at it
I like the idea of having the terminal, ACP server, A2A endpoint, and orchestration in one static binary. That could make setup much simpler.
the ACP separation is the interesting part here - decoupling the client from the runtime so you're not locked into one editor integration. for the subagent orchestrator specifically, when a subagent's output gets merged back into the main session, is there any validation step, or does whatever the subagent produced just flow straight through as if the top-level agent wrote it itself?
