An AI journal that connects thoughts instead of just summarizing them is the right ambition. This could become a real thinking companion. Congrats.

journal content is about as sensitive as personal data gets, more so than most notes apps since people write things there they wouldn't put anywhere else. when you say "private AI-powered memory system," does the connecting/pattern-finding happen on-device, or does journal text get sent to a server (yours or a model provider's) to do that linking?

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I built Thread because I kept having useful ideas throughout the day, then losing the context around them.

Thread lets you capture thoughts by text or voice, then uses AI to connect related ideas and memories over time. Instead of leaving everything as isolated notes, it helps turn scattered thinking into meaningful threads you can revisit and act on.

I’d love your feedback on what feels useful, what feels unnecessary, and what you’d want Thread to do next.
