Future research should focus on addressing these gaps through interdisciplinary approaches, integrating advanced modeling techniques, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable management practices. By prioritizing these efforts, we can safeguard coastal ecosystems and their essential services from the escalating threats of heavy metal pollution.
