Motivations intrinsèque et extrinsèque comme déterminants de l’intention d’adoption des objets connectés en santé mobile

Malgré la capacité des objets connectés en santé mobile à offrir aux patients une plus grande autonomie dans le suivi de leur santé et de leurs symptômes, leur adoption n’a pas encore atteint le même niveau que celle d’autres technologies portables, comme les smartphones. Il convient par conséquent d’étudier les motivations des consommateurs afin d’examiner leurs effets sur l’intention d’adoption des objets connectés en santé. La Théorie de l’Auto-Détermination (TAD) a été mobilisée pour examiner le rôle de la motivation intrinsèque, la motivation extrinsèque, l’amotivation ainsi que le risque perçu et l’innovativité spécifique à un domaine sur l’intention d’adoption de ces objets. Une étude quantitative a été menée sur un échantillon de 407 individus. Les résultats ont révélé que l’intention d’adoption des objets connectés en santé est influencée par la motivation intrinsèque autodéterminée, et introjectée ainsi que par l’innovativité spécifique à un domaine.
