Research Abstract & Technology Focus

This document is the companion to the minimum experiment proposal (Doc1). It is more ambitious, more expensive, and slower to execute, but offers finer detection capability and the ability to directly probe the quadratic field dependence predicted by the Hunan group (Physical Review D, 2024-2026). Where Doc1 looks for rotation-synchronized repulsion (binary yes/no signal), this proposal looks for a specific functional signature: quadratic scaling of force with field gradient. The experiment uses a stationary YBCO superconducting disk at 77 K under inhomogeneous magnetic gradient (Maxwell coils, ~0.6 T/m) plus pulsed 2 GHz microwave radiation, with lock-in detection to isolate the signal from microwave-induced electrical noise. A null result would establish the most stringent experimental limit to date for anomalous gravitational effects in stationary superconductors under combined gradient and microwave excitation. A positive quadratic directional force would be consistent with the Hunan framework and would open a new line of research with implications for propulsion physics and for understanding documented UAP flight characteristics. Cost: USD 5,250 (used equipment, no oriented crystal) to USD 14,100 (all new, with oriented crystal). Timeline: 8 months (half time). Requires: YBCO disk, Maxwell coils, 2 GHz microwave source, lock-in amplifier (SR830 or equivalent), vacuum chamber, liquid nitrogen. This document is part of a three-document series. Companion documents: minimum experiment proposal (Doc1, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20574517) and plain language research summary (Doc3, forthcoming) available in the same Zenodo repository.
