Research Abstract & Technology Focus

This paper introduces an advanced information-theoretic architecture to circumvent the severe bandwidth constraints inherent in deep-sea acoustic communications during long-range sub-surface teleoperation. Conventional marine robotics frameworks face a fatal operational deadlock (408 Timeout) when attempting to stream high-definition, real-time video data from extreme depths (e.g., 10,000 meters) over narrowband acoustic channels (restricted to a few kbps). To overcome this physical limitation, we propose the "Predictive Digital Twin Teleoperation Protocol." This framework completely subtracts the real-time transmission of massive visual RAW data from the primary transmission channel. Instead, the underwater agent compresses its operational states into hyper-lightweight numeric packets (comprising XYZ coordinates, inertial measurement unit metrics, and LiDAR proximity boundaries) and casts them over an autonomous regenerative acoustic relay network. At the maritime reception interface, a specialized edge-AI instantly decodes these micro-packets to dynamically reconstruct a hyper-realistic 3D simulated visualization (Digital Twin) with zero perceived latency, enabling intuitive human spatial cognition to control the vehicle seamlessly. Concurrently, the uncompressed, high-fidelity visual assets are securely packaged within the vehicle's internal physical storage (SSD). Upon physical salvage, a "Closed-loop Self-Learning Network" executes an automated debugging process by calculating the loss functions between the AI’s generated simulations and the physical reality logs, executing an ultra-fast finetuning phase that drives the simulation’s fidelity toward authentic equilibrium across successive deployments.
