Gemini Executive Synthesis

An uncensored, quantized (W4A16 AutoRound) variant of Qwen3.8-27B, compatible with the existing high-performance inference setup (KVarN + DFlash2) on a single RTX 3090, supporting large context lengths.

Technical Positioning
Providing a performant, resource-efficient (single RTX 3090, 24GB) solution for deploying uncensored large language models with extended context capabilities (240k+ tokens) and speculative decoding (DFlash2), while maintaining coherence and retrieval accuracy.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This issue demonstrates a critical market demand for uncensored LLM variants that retain high performance and resource efficiency. The successful adaptation of an uncensored Qwen3.8-27B to run on a single RTX 3090 with 240k context and DFlash2 speculative decoding, achieving ~100 tok/s, validates the underlying optimization stack. This provides a viable, cost-effective solution for developers requiring less restrictive model outputs without sacrificing performance or hardware accessibility. The ability to deploy such models on consumer-grade hardware with extended context is a significant value proposition, expanding the addressable market for advanced LLM applications where content filtering is not desired or is managed downstream.

Uncensored AutoRound variant that runs on this setup

Thanks for this setup, the KVarN + DFlash2 + AutoRound work is excellent.

I built an uncensored W4A16 variant of Qwen3.8-27B that runs out-of-the-box with
this repo, in case it's useful to others who want the uncensored model at this
context length:

**Model:** huggingface.co/leminkozey/Qwen3....

**How it was made** (your recipe, nothing new on the method side):
- AutoRound (W4A16, group_size 128) on `JonathanColetti/Qwen3.8-27B-Uncensored`
instead of the published `dbirks/Qwen3.8-27B-W4A16-AutoRound`, with
`visual, mtp, lm_head, in_proj_a, in_proj_b` kept in fp.
- Then `prepare/quant_lm_head.py` and `prepare/quant_embed.py` exactly as your
README describes. That head quant is what makes 240k + the DFlash2 drafter fit
in 24 GB, same as with the published body.

**Verified** on a single RTX 3090 (single-user mode):
- `SPEC=dflash2 CTX=huge PREFIX_CACHE=0 MAX_LEN=245760 GPU_UTIL=0.97`
- ~100 tok/s warm (98-110), mean acceptance length ~2.4
- Coherent (German + English), needle retrieved at 45k context
- No refusals

**Honesty / untested:** I only ran the DFlash2 path. I did not run
`quant_mtp.py` or `build_draft_vocab.py`, so the MTP speculation path is untested
for this checkpoint. If you want, I'm happy to open a small README PR pointing to
this as an uncensored option.
