Gemini Executive Synthesis

DLSS 5 Neural Rendering on AMD GPUs. The specific problem is severe screen flickering and low frame rates (~22 FPS) when running Crimson Desert with FSR3.1 Frame Generation on an RX 9070 XT.

Technical Positioning
The project aims to provide a playable and visually stable experience for AMD GPU users. The reported flickering and low FPS indicate a failure to meet basic performance and quality standards, making the solution impractical for this title. The goal is to achieve stable frame rates and eliminate visual artifacts.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This issue highlights a critical performance and visual quality problem: severe screen flickering and unplayable frame rates (~22 FPS) in Crimson Desert on an RX 9070 XT, even with FSR3.1 Frame Generation enabled. While the software successfully launches the game, the resulting experience is fundamentally broken. This indicates a significant integration challenge with specific game engines or rendering pipelines, where the DLSS-NR-on-AMD solution introduces more problems than it solves. Such issues directly undermine the product's value proposition, as users expect performance enhancements, not visual degradation and reduced playability. Resolving these core stability and rendering artifacts is essential for market acceptance.

Crimson Desert starts but flickering at 22 FPS (9070 XT)

Just wanna tell you that it starts with CD also, but the screen is flickering A LOT at ~22 FPS with FSR3.1 Frame Gen.

so its playable ? could you try with frame generation maybe you would get like 40 fps

> so its playable ? could you try with frame generation maybe you would get like 40 fps It's 22 FPS with FSR3.1, so not playable for me

I've tested Cyberpunk, HFW and KCD2 on my 9070XT and they all flicker and run at 13fps @ 1440P and 20fps @ 1080P (no frame gen). Sadly flicker seems to be a common issue.

I get flickering even without DLSS5. noticeable at night, subtle during day but still there. Could be this.

DLSS 5 Neural Rendering on AMD GPUs. The specific problem is rendering issues and crashes in 'Wuthering Waves' on RX 7900 XT (RDNA3). This includes black screens in Async mode (UI visible) and errors/crashes in Inline mode, potentially due to color space mismatch or device removal/hung errors.
The project aims to provide a functional and visually correct DLSS 5 solution for AMD RDNA3 GPUs. The current state, with black screens and crashes, indicates a failure to achieve basic rendering integrity and stability. The goal is to resolve these rendering pipeline issues, particularly color space handling and device state management, to ensure a playable experience.
