Game launch compatibility and performance optimization for specific titles and device architectures.

Technical Positioning
Delivering a broad 'SteamOS experience' on Android, implying compatibility with a wide range of Steam games and optimized performance on high-end devices.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This issue details inconsistent game launch success on high-end devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, with some titles failing while others succeed. The problem is traced to specific game compatibility and performance settings, requiring manual intervention with `FEX preset` adjustments and complex Steam launch options involving `DOTNET` and `WINE` overrides, explicitly targeting `vulkan` rendering. This indicates a lack of robust, automated game-specific optimization within DroidDeck. The market implication is a fragmented user experience where advanced users might find workarounds, but general users will face significant friction and game incompatibility. The need for manual configuration, even for a 'stable' release, undermines the 'SteamOS experience' promise. The proposed PR suggests a path to internal resolution, but the underlying issue points to a broader need for dynamic game profile management.

[BUG] Galaxy Z Fold 7 - Games aren't successfully launching

Hiya! First, thanks for making this, it's running really well already! =)

Please let me know how best to help you debug this, but so far I've tried 3 games:

- Stardew Valley
- Slay the Spire 2
- Balatro

So far, only Stardew Valley will load (with cloud saves and everything).

Slay the Spire 2 and Balatro currently just sit on a black screen after the loading steam logo shows up and disappears, then crash back to the game library "play" screen.

I am running stable 0.3.0, with basically all default settings set.

I dont think it matters, but I also added DroidDeck to Samsung's GameBooster...not sure it had any real impact.

I downloaded a session log from one of the attempts to load STS2: please let me know what files would be useful to include. Thanks!

Adding DroidDeck to Gaming Hub in Samsung devices is mandatory in order to use all the SoC power.

After 1 hour of AI tests, I could launch it. Indications and PR coming soon because it affect several things, @xXJSONDeruloXx

@truthordata Could you try these steps and tell us if it works for you too? 1. In DroidDeck, go to Settings → FEX preset and choose **Stability** (only for both games) 2. In Steam, open Slay the Spire 2 → Properties → Launch options and paste this one line exactly: DOTNET_GCRegionRange=0x800000000 DOTNET_EnableWriteXorExecute=0 WINEDLLOVERRIDES=libsentry.windows.release.x86_64=d %command% --rendering-driver vulkan 3. Launch the game. The first start can take a little while on a black screen before the menu appears or even crash (if so launch it again) Note: the FEX preset applies to all games, so you may want to switch it back afterwards for your other games.

https://github.com/Droid-Deck/DroidDeck/pull/168 It should fix Slay the Spire II issues (already tried on Fold8)

Dude hell yeah! You still want me to try those settings or you confident that your PR resolves it? Thanks!

I'm on the same boat, it seems to detect the controller (because it shows up the touch controlls if I disconnect it in the quick settings menu), but it doesn't respond to any kind of input

i hope it gets fixed because im hopeful for this emulator

I'm experiencing the same issue on my Redmi K60 with Snapdragon 8+ gen 1. I've tried adjusting many settings like you suggested, but it hasn't helped.

Hmm perhaps because of this "Use Android 9 or newer on a supported Adreno device (730 or newer, or 8xx)."
