RTX 2060 Super (Turing) driver stability and boot issues on macOS 15.8.1, specifically getting stuck at verbose boot or WindowServer crashes.

Technical Positioning
Achieving stable boot-to-desktop with Metal 3 support for Turing-based GPUs.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This item details persistent boot and display stability issues for the RTX 2060 Super (Turing) across multiple driver versions. Initial verbose boot stalls, followed by a workaround involving specific boot-args and nvrm610.conf settings, highlight a fragile configuration. Driver 1.1.0 introduced a regression, causing WindowServer crashes and preventing desktop loading, necessitating a rollback to 1.0.9. This indicates inconsistent stability across releases and a complex dependency on specific, non-default configurations. For B2B SaaS, such instability and regression cycles are detrimental, eroding user trust and increasing support overhead. Market adoption is severely hindered by the need for manual workarounds and version-specific issues.

[Turing] [Workaround] RTX 2060 Super stuck at verbose

First of all, thank you for this cool project. Got excited and got it installed right away on my machine, but it seemed to get stuck at this specific part.

**PC Specs**
- ASUSTEK PRIME H510M-K
- 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11400F
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (Colorful Geforce RTX 2060 Super NB 8G-V)

Not sure if it's because of my setup since I have NvStrapsReBar installed, but neither disabling nor enabling it works. Here's the attached image where it got stuck, if it helps.

Managed to get it working (sort of) Specs: **RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB**, i5-11400F, macOS **15\.8.1 (24H32)**. The desktop now loads, and System Information reports Metal 3. There are still graphical bugs, so this resolves startup rather than establishing full stability. Workaround: 1. Append `nvrmsettle=10000` to the existing OpenCore `boot-args`. 2. Edit `/Library/GPUBundles/nvmtl/nvrm610.conf` by `sudo nano /Library/GPUBundles/nvmtl/nvrm610.conf`, preserving other settings, and add: ``` CECHAN=0 NVK_CMDPOOL_GPU_UNCACHED=1 NVK_SYSMEM_GPU_UNCACHED=1 ``` 3. Reboot.

### Update: After the 1.0.9 driver update Adding `nvrmsettle=10000` to the `boot-args` is no longer required as well as `CECHAN=0` in `/Library/GPUBundles/nvmtl/nvrm610.conf`. However, those two `NVK_CMDPOOL_GPU_UNCACHED=1` and `NVK_SYSMEM_GPU_UNCACHED=1` are still needed to get past the Apple loading screen.

### Update 09/10: Regression in 1.1.0 The fix is now the default in this release version, so you don't have to do anything. The only problem is that it may not get past the Apple loading screen due to WindowServer crashing (a short black screen -> back to looping the verbose console). I suggest rolling back to 1.0.9 if that's the case.

Would love to know if you can boot with this as the only display adapter under Tahoe. I have a 2080ti in my Mac Pro 2019 and it would be great to be able to free up a slot by removing the MPX card.
