Media Browser error handling for file read failures

Technical Positioning
Robust, user-informative error management; reliable media import
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This bug exposes a critical flaw in effectcraft's Media Browser: silent failure during file import. The application's failure to surface NotReadableError exceptions, instead leaving the folder empty, creates a frustrating and opaque user experience. Users are left without explanation or recourse when files fail to load, hindering productivity and trust in the system's reliability. Robust error reporting and user guidance (e.g., 'file unreadable, retry?') are fundamental for any professional application handling user-generated content. This silent failure mechanism is unacceptable for a B2B SaaS product, as it directly impacts data integrity perception and workflow efficiency, demanding immediate remediation to ensure a reliable media ingestion pipeline.

[Bug] Media Browser silently discards selected-file read errors

When a selected file cannot be read, Media Browser Add Files silently leaves the folder empty. The selection promise rejects, but the application drops that error without explaining the failure or offering a retry. A subsequent healthy selection works.

## Environment

- Fresh browser build of current main `e38a92e792c07f1c57c5dcfcab37d91932b9e2b8`, verified 2026-10-07; Rust 1.95.0, wasm-bindgen 0.2.129.
- macOS 26.5.2 arm64; isolated Chrome 154.0.8037.93 and Firefox 155.0, headless.
- `?empty&storage=memory&noworkers&nosw`. Firefox uses built-in browser test preferences to deny optional persistent-storage permission; the actual StorageManager method is unchanged.

## Controlled reproduction

1. Generate an original valid PNG named `red-corner.png`. Open Window → Media Browser. Widen its panel until the actual Add Files toolbar button is visible.
2. Before selecting it, wrap `File.prototype.arrayBuffer` so this named file alone returns a rejected promise with `DOMException("Generated unreadable selected file", "NotReadableError")`. Delegate all other calls to the original method and record the injection.
3. Click the real Add Files button using its on-screen registered rectangle, and provide that file through the actual browser file chooser. This uses a real browser user gesture and the production input/change handler.
4. Wait for the read, inspect Media Browser, the full editor screenshot and UI status.
5. Restore the original File method and select the same file through the...

Ah ok, normally the color menu opens when you click the "8 bpc" button in the corner under the files list. In this implementation the button just toggles to 16 or 32 bit. It would be better if this...

Im not agreeing here I always hated it that Color Settings opens on the bit depth window and dont have a proper designated Setting per Project basis. I would even go so far and say pleeeease give u...
