Boot delay optimization for systems with both NVIDIA dGPU (RTX 3080) and driverless Intel iGPU (UHD 770) on macOS 15.8.1.

Technical Positioning
Achieving fast boot times and seamless GPU enumeration on macOS systems with mixed GPU configurations.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This issue identifies a significant boot delay (60s) caused by macOS's IOGraphicsFamily waiting on a driverless Intel iGPU, not the NVIDIA driver itself. The solution, hiding the iGPU via OpenCore's WhateverGreen and -wegnoigpu, dramatically reduces boot time from 137s to 28s. This highlights a critical system-level interaction pain point for users with hybrid GPU setups. While the NVIDIA driver is not the direct cause, its market viability is indirectly affected by overall system performance. For B2B SaaS, optimizing the entire boot experience, even through external workarounds, is crucial for perceived product quality and user satisfaction, especially in professional environments where boot times impact productivity.

Boot delay: a driverless Intel iGPU cost ~60 s (fixed by hiding it); what remains is GPU bring-up, plus two small driver-side items

### Summary

On this machine (RTX 3080, 256 MB BAR1, i7-12700K, macOS 15.8.1, SMBIOS `iMacPro1,1`) the boot was
**137 s to the desktop**. It is now **28 s**, and the ~60 s that this issue was originally opened for
turned out **not to be the driver**.

**The root cause was a second, driverless GPU.** The board has an Intel UHD 770 (`8086:4680`) that
the firmware enumerates but macOS has no driver for (12th-gen iGPU). It sat in the AGDC GPU
wrangler next to the RTX 3080 and made `IOGraphicsFamily`'s bring-up wait ~60 s. Hiding it removed
the whole delay:

| milestone | before | after |
|---|---|---|
| `SecurityAgent` (login UI) | +76 s | **+17 s** |
| `Finder` (desktop usable) | +91 s | **+27 s** |
| largest `launchd` gap | 30 s | **4 s** |

**Fix (OpenCore only, nothing in the driver):** enable WhateverGreen and add `-wegnoigpu` to
boot-args. Verified with `iogdiagnose`: the `gpu 0xa913 (IG,quiet) 8086.4680` entry disappears from
the GPU wrangler entirely.

### Environment

- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080 (`10de:2206`), **BAR1 = 256 MB** without ReBAR
- iGPU: Intel UHD 770 (`8086:4680`, `0:2:0`) — enumerated, **no macOS driver**
- macOS 15.8.1 (24H32), SMBIOS `iMacPro1,1`, driver package 1.1.0
- OpenCore, ReBAR-relevant: `UEFI -> Quirks -> ResizeGpuBars = 13` (8 GB), `Booter -> Quirks -> ResizeAppleGpuBars = -1`
- boot-args now: `-nvrmnobootscreen -v alcid=11 nvfb=1 nvaccel=1 nvfbheads=4 -nvkmsnosmooth amfi_get_out_of_my_way=0x1 amfi=0x80 -nvrmnoflip -wegnoigpu nvrmsettle=1500`

Would love to know if you can boot with this as the only display adapter under Tahoe. I have a 2080ti in my Mac Pro 2019 and it would be great to be able to free up a slot by removing the MPX card.
