RTX 5090 Laptop GPU driver 1.1.0 regressions on macOS 15.7.7, specifically cursor update rejections and external display flashing.

Technical Positioning
Achieving stable, high-refresh-rate multi-display output with correct cursor rendering on laptop dGPUs.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
Driver 1.1.0 introduces critical regressions for the RTX 5090 Laptop, specifically rejecting cursor updates due to INVALID_PARAMS and causing external display flashing. While previous issues like random flicker were addressed, the new cursor problem forces a software fallback, degrading user experience. The detailed technical analysis points to a specific KAPI interaction failure during primary layer configuration. For B2B SaaS, this indicates a lack of robust regression testing across diverse hardware, particularly high-end mobile GPUs and multi-display setups. Such display-level instability directly impacts productivity and professional use cases, limiting the viability of the driver for critical applications.

RTX 5090 Laptop (2C58): 1.1.0 rejects every cursor update (INVALID_PARAMS) + internal panel reported external — patches included; 240 Hz external flashing repro

## Setup
- GPU: GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, PCI 10de:2c58 (internal panel wired to the dGPU)
- CPU: Core Ultra 9 275HX (its iGPU 8086:7d67 is unused)
- macOS 15.7.7 (24G720), SMBIOS iMacPro1,1, OpenCore DBG-108 (2026-09-27)
- Driver 1.1.0 (via 1401 Mac 1.1.0; 1.1.1 has the same driver)
- Displays
- internal: Samsung ATNA60HU01-0, 2560x1600 @ 240 Hz (NVKMS dpy 0x200, connector 0x2, `internal` = 1)
- external: Dell AW2726DM, 2560x1440, USB-C (DP alt mode) (dpy 0x400, connector 0x3)

## What works
All four kexts load, Metal 3, 24 GB VRAM. Both displays light up, the internal panel runs at 240 Hz, and 1.1.0 now offers 120/144/240 Hz on the external display (1.0.8 only offered 60). 1.1.0 fixed most of the random flicker I had on 1.0.8.

## 1. Regression in 1.1.0: every cursor update is rejected (both heads)
Since 1.1.0, `cursorApply()` also sets the primary layer (`primary->config.surface`, `flags.surfaceChanged`) but leaves `srcWidth/srcHeight/dstWidth/dstHeight` at 0. KAPI copies those into `sizeIn`/`sizeOut` whenever `surfaceChanged` names a surface, regardless of `srcWHChanged`/`dstWHChanged` (`nvkms-kapi.c`, primary layer config, ~line 3027–3050 in 610.57.04). So every cursor update requests a 0x0 main layer and NVKMS returns `NV_KMS_FLIP_RESULT_INVALID_PARAMS`. `setCursorImage` then falls back, so WindowServer draws a software cursor.

With per-head logging (patch 0001), about 200 rejections per head within minutes of login, all with the same request:

Would love to know if you can boot with this as the only display adapter under Tahoe. I have a 2080ti in my Mac Pro 2019 and it would be great to be able to free up a slot by removing the MPX card.
