Popover UI element behavior during text editing.
Technical Positioning
Stable and predictable user interface experience across operating systems.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This UI bug, specifically a popover rendering issue during text editing on Windows 11, indicates a lack of UI stability and cross-platform consistency. Such visual glitches degrade user experience and erode confidence in the application's reliability. While seemingly minor, persistent UI anomalies can accumulate, creating a perception of an unpolished or unstable product. For a design and prototyping tool, precise and predictable UI behavior is non-negotiable. Market implications include user frustration and potential abandonment, as designers require tools that function flawlessly without visual distractions or operational inconsistencies. This directly impacts perceived quality and professional viability.

Looks. Very Interesting. And quite Funny.
I'm working on this (and , which looks like the same bug): I'll reproduce the "…" text options popover growing on Windows and keep its size fixed as the pointer moves in and out. PR soon.
Stepping back from this one, so it's free for anyone. I couldn't reproduce it on current main on Windows: with a text layer selected, and again while editing its text, the Type settings (…) popover kept the same size after moving the pointer in and out of it several times. The steps in the video may differ from what I tried.
