GET /v1/llms.txt endpoint's public accessibility
Raw Developer Origin & Technical Request
GitHub Issue
Nov 2, 2026
**Check:** unprotected-endpoint (low)
**What Floorplan said:** Anyone could read data from AI assistant guide
**File types:** .ts
**Why it's not a problem:**
Why GET /v1/llms.txt stays open:
It’s a short fact sheet about the app, written for AI bots. It just sends back the file website/public/llms.txt.
That same file is already open to anyone at /llms.txt. A login on /v1/llms.txt would hide nothing.
The code says “public” on purpose: Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * (any site can read it) and Cache-Control: public.
Your developers page says these endpoints need no login, in page.tsx:378: “Public discovery endpoints (llms.txt, …) require no API keys, tokens, or OAuth flow.”
It has no user data. It already has a rate limit (a cap on how often one caller can ask).
