ShaderKit, a browser GLSL editor for fractal art, offering ShaderToy-compatibility, an export pipeline, loop examination mode, cloud rendering (up to 8K with supersampling), and a GIF exporter.

Technical Positioning
A tool built to overcome Shadertoy's limitations, specifically for finishing and exporting fractal art, providing missing features like a robust export pipeline and advanced debugging for seamless loops.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
ShaderKit addresses a niche but critical pain point for digital artists working with GLSL shaders: the transition from creation to production-ready output. Shadertoy, while excellent for experimentation, lacks the robust export and debugging features necessary for professional art workflows. ShaderKit's "export pipeline" and specialized "Loop examination mode" directly solve these limitations, enabling artists to finalize and deliver high-quality fractal art. The offering of "Cloud rendering up to 8K with supersampling" monetizes a compute-intensive requirement, aligning with a usage-based model for specialized GPU tasks. This product targets a specific creative professional segment, providing tools that enhance productivity and output quality. The inclusion of a "Claude-based vibe-mode" suggests an exploration of AI-assisted creative workflows, indicating a forward-looking approach to artistic tool development. This demonstrates a clear understanding of a specific creator's workflow gaps and monetizes high-value, compute-intensive features.

Show HN: ShaderKit – A browser GLSL editor I built for my own art

I make fractal art with GLSL and got tired of fighting Shadertoy's limits when I wanted to actually finish and export pieces. So I built the tool I wanted: ShaderKit runs in the browser, fully ShaderToy-compatible, but adds the export pipeline that was missing for me.- Loop examination mode: visualizes the transition point of a looping shader in slow motion so you can see exactly where it breaks. X-time remapping helps debug discontinuities by mapping time to the x coordinate, this way you can see literally if the loop is seamless or not, if you see any seams, its not seamless. This is what I needed most for my own work.- Cloud rendering up to 8K with supersampling- A GIF exporter allowing for setting custom color palettes and choice of dithering algorithmThe main editor and features are free. Cloud rendering is paid because GPU time costs money. There's an optional Claude-based vibe-mode as well.Would especially love feedback on the loop tools from anyone who writes seamless shader loops, that's the part of the problem I think is most under-served.shaderkit.com
