Revenant, an LLM-powered toolkit for automatic reverse engineering and reimplementation of firmware.

Technical Positioning
A toolkit that automates firmware analysis, generates open-source skeletons, and can replicate existing firmware, giving old hardware new life and aiding security analysis.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
Revenant addresses a significant and complex pain point in hardware engineering and security research: the manual, time-consuming process of firmware reverse engineering. By leveraging LLMs and integrating with established tools like radare2 and Ghidra, it automates critical steps, enabling 'fully automatically analyze firmware' and '1:1 replicate existing firmware.' This dramatically reduces the barrier to entry for hardware resurrection and enhances the efficiency of security analysis. The market for AI-assisted tools in specialized engineering domains is expanding rapidly, driven by the need to accelerate complex tasks and democratize expertise. Revenant represents a powerful application of AI to a traditionally labor-intensive field.

Show HN: Revenant – automatic LLM powered reverse engineering and reimplement

I am a hardware engineer and security researcher and I've been wondering whether my work could be partially automated, so I can focus on other topics as well, so I build revenant - a LLM powered (Claude, OpenAI, local AI) toolkit that builds around radare2, ghidra etc and can fully automatically analyze firmware, implement open source skeletons incl. pinouts, hardware bringup, peripheral bringup etc. or can even 1:1 replicate existing firmware so old hardware can be resurrected with modern toolchains. Some applications are:- Give old hardware new life- Security Analysis of shady firmwareCheck it at:
github.com/DatanoiseTV/reven... would love some input on this and maybe some recommendations for improvements.
