Blood Donor American Red Cross

I give Blood regularly. The last time I waited an hour. This time they said they had an urgent need. Made an appointment and they cancelled it several hours later. I thought there was a problem with the toilet so made a later appointment. They had canceled the entire drive without notice. Will no longer give there but at a local hospital. The phone staff knew nothing

I had my appointment and called the RedCross line and also the site rep for the Craddockville church to ask if it was ok to bring a walk in; since my friend was not able to use the website. The RC rep said yes she can donate as a walk in; and on the way to the church; the church rep- Stephanie Pierce called me and said that RC had sent an extra person and kit for my friend to donate.
Neither event happened. We were/are both dismayed, as she is also an ‘O Positive; and the need is great.
We would love it if you automatically send a few extra kits for such situations. I would think it would be beneficial all around.
Other than that; a great experience, newcomer blood draw person, “Paige” was wonderful, engaging and a fun, sweet gal whom I much enjoyed talking and laughing with!
Felt like I had known her for years! Just a lovely lady!
My friend and I will be booking our next appointment soon.

Very convenient to have I like it very much, one thing that I don’t is that it doesn’t give you all the available blood drives around you but when you go on website, it has more drives than on the app which kinda sucks because I like using the app.

I love ARC and I'm happy to be able to donate. But sometimes taking time and finding a center with an opening that fits your schedule isn't great. This app makes it a snap to schedule your donation and track your stats

The Red Cross in Farmington is experienced, pleasant and professional. They make helping those in need of platelets easy and rewarding.

When trying to search and schedule a Blood Donation appointment via the Red Cross App custom date feature, it only works for 1st week or so. Remaining dates of month are not on “screen” to select.

Appointments are not listed with the date and time, rapid pass is not accessible.

app does a great job at letting you get your appointments scheduled. i’d I had any wish for functionality. it would be a better display of where your blood has gone and the ability to either download a map showing those locations or a why to gender a map that I could download to see my donation impact.

I appreciate having all the details, reminders and quick access to the Rapid Pass for donation day. I am frustrated that every time I go to check on points redemption it’s typically unavailable.

When I was a teenager, my father was diagnosed with cancer. He lived for 6 years after he was told he would die within months. I’ve given blood for over 40 years. Each time I give blood I remind myself that I might be saving someone else’s father or mother. I am reminded of how grateful I was for every day I had with my father and how grateful I have been to those who gave him a chance to have each day.

Rapid Pass froze while completing and I had to redo it twice. Authentication freezes and the screen doesn’t fully load. Can I go back to the previous version that worked just fine?

Fortunately the app is upgraded on a regular basis. Scheduling a lot easier now than months ago.

The app is getting better, still a few glitches left to address, correlating with text messages, phone calls and emails.

There’s nothing like giving a little of yourself to someone in need. It’s quick and easy and the employees of Red Cross are always so kind and thankful. I enjoy watching my blood donation journey and it brings me joy to know when I’ve helped others.
