Appwrite 2.0 is a really massive update, and with a massive Init event that happened recently. I can finally say that Appwrite speaks PostgreSQL! My favourite feature of all is VectorsDB. Appwrite has made it easy with the embeddings API that I can simply make powerful apps with similarity search using VectorsDB. Unlocks a lot of possibilities!

Such a good feeling seeing Appwrite 2.0 finally out there. So much work went into this across the team, and seeing the response from developers has made it even more exciting. Can’t wait to see what people build with it!

I am happy to be part of Appwrite 2.0, especially the OAuth server capabilities! It was an incredible journey to bring this support, and I am excited to see what developers build with it, without spending weeks perfecting their understanding of all RFCs. I already built a few products with this, and alongside improved customisation through apps, this also makes MCP support trivial. Thrilled to see this in developers' hands, allowing all Appwrite projects to remain modern with support for all the AI agents out there.
Appwrite 2.0 is out and I got to work on part of it. Most of the release sits deep in the stack, but the bit I keep coming back to is the new Console. Better views of your resources, notifications, and a live feed of what your project is doing while it does it. Add the analytics on top and you get something I think gets undervalued in a backend platform: you can see what is going on under the hood instead of guessing. Happy with how it turned out and excited for what is coming.
I'm really glad that we've been able to make Appwrite 2.0 happen! We've been able to finally ship our community's highest-demanded features over the last few years: which is native Postgres. I have also been experimenting with a number of new releases, including S3 support for Storage and DocumentsDB, and I've already been able to leverage the latter in a new project I've been working on (essentially an open-source Typeform alternative that benefits from flexible schemas). I can't wait for more developers to build with Appwrite 2.0 and let us know what they think of the same.
