Gemini Executive Synthesis
Core dependency management for Windows-specific runtimes within an Android compatibility layer.
Technical Positioning
Achieving a seamless, dependency-free 'SteamOS experience' on Android, implying robust runtime environment provisioning.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This issue highlights a fundamental dependency management failure within DroidDeck's compatibility layer. Users encounter critical runtime errors, specifically 'Microsoft Visual C++,' indicating a gap in automated provisioning or clear manual installation guidance for essential Windows components. This directly impedes the core value proposition of delivering a 'SteamOS experience' on Android, as basic application execution is blocked. The market implication is significant user experience degradation, leading to early abandonment and negative perception if core dependencies are not transparently handled or clearly documented for manual resolution. This suggests a need for enhanced runtime environment packaging or a more robust dependency resolution mechanism within the product.

Microsoft Visual C++ error
Please fix the problem. I have not found a way to install it manually.
Developer Debate & Comments
Running into a similar issue with CrossCode. We basically need a way to install ms components like vcrun. Technically Steam's first setup should install these too but this is still early days. I was hoping that maybe ProtonPlus from flatpak would detect the steam install but also no dice.
When you have Halo MCC, then install it with one game Halo install all components and the game that I want to start running now. for me it fix it but its not rly a good Solution

After 1 hour of AI tests, I could launch it. Indications and PR coming soon because it affect several things, @xXJSONDeruloXx

I'm on the same boat, it seems to detect the controller (because it shows up the touch controlls if I disconnect it in the quick settings menu), but it doesn't respond to any kind of input
i hope it gets fixed because im hopeful for this emulator
Had same issue. In the pre-Steam menus, I changed Controller Type from Deck Controller to Xbox Controller, and that fixed it.
