Multiple critical rendering, performance, and stability issues (lighting glitches, stuttering, broken visual effects, VRAM leak/crash) in the Shadow of the Colossus PC port on AMD RX 570 4GB.

Technical Positioning
Achieving a stable, visually accurate, and performant gameplay experience on mid-range AMD GPUs with limited VRAM. The goal is to eliminate game-breaking bugs and memory management issues.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This comprehensive bug report details a cascade of critical issues, including severe rendering glitches, constant stuttering, and a debilitating VRAM leak leading to crashes, specifically on an AMD RX 570 4GB. The 'VRAM Overflow/Leak' is particularly concerning, indicating fundamental memory management problems within the port, making the game unplayable for users with mid-range GPUs. The crash after the '1st Colossus' points to a specific trigger for instability. For B2B SaaS in game development or porting, this highlights the absolute necessity of rigorous memory profiling and optimization, especially for systems with constrained VRAM. Failure to address these core stability and resource management issues renders the product unusable for a significant segment of the target market, severely impacting adoption and reputation.

Multiple bugs, severe stuttering, and VRAM leak/crash (RX 570 4GB)

Hello,

I would like to report a series of issues and bugs I am experiencing while testing the native port of Shadow of the Colossus.

System Specs:
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3

Issues Encountered:
Lighting & White Screen Flashing: Severe lighting glitches, with the screen flashing white intermittently.
Severe Stuttering: Extreme and constant stuttering throughout gameplay.
Visual Effects: Broken rendering and positioning for fog, shadows, and smoke.
Excessive Brightness: Saturated or overly bright lighting in several areas.
Crash after 1st Colossus: The game crashes to desktop right after defeating the first colossus.
VRAM Overflow/Leak: Video memory usage spikes and exceeds the GPU limit (4GB) after a few minutes of play, causing the game to crash.

Thank you for your hard work on this project! I hope these details help with future fixes.

Other highly discussed features and pain points extracted from AjncSystem/ShadowOfTheColossus-PC.

Extracted Positioning
Lack of support for older CPUs (e.g., Intel Xeon E3 1230V2, lacking AVX2 instructions) in the Shadow of the Colossus PC port, leading to immediate crashes on launch.
Expanding CPU compatibility to include older architectures, specifically those lacking modern instruction sets like AVX2, to broaden the addressable market for the PC port. The goal is to ensure the game launches and runs on a wider range of hardware.
